Reaping someone else's harvest

Our new house has a lovely little garden in the back, and apparently the previous homeowners were quite the gardners. The planter boxes have chives, thai chilies, and various herbs I don't recognize. Today, the girls took great pleasure in helping me pull up these beets and carrots.


The bar is set high: I guess I'll have to learn a thing or two about gardening before the spring!
